Nippers @ URSLC
ROX nippers is the breading ground for future Junior and Senior Lifesavers. Our sessions are run completely by volunteer parents who have intricate sea knowledge which they can pass down onto the kids and teach them about the ocean, how to be safe in the ocean, how to compete in the ocean and lastly and most importantly, how to save a life in the ocean if that situation ever arises.
Nippers is all about having fun in the sun on Sunday mornings. If you are between the ages of 6 and 14 years of age then join us and you will learn about: Water Safety; First Aid; Knee Board Paddling (Malibu); Body Boarding (Boogie); Surf Swimming; Flag Racing; Beach Sprinting and much much more.
Training sessions are held on Sunday mornings and start at 08:30 sharp, ending by 10:30.
Interclub competitions are held throughout the season, KZN Champs is usually held early in the new year and the season ends with SA Champs which is held in either Cape Town, Port Elizabeth or Durban.
Season starts at the beginning of September and runs until the end of the 1st school term.
Club nipper costumes and skull caps can be purchased at the club on training days and must always be worn at training. LSA pink safety vests which need to be worn in competition can also be purchased from the club.
